Natural mulberry tissue. 25 gsm lightweight paper. Made in Chiangmai, Northern Thailand. The fibre is from the paper mulberry, ton saa. Also known by the Japanese name kozo. It is made from the mulberry tree and it has long fibers which help to give the paper its distinctive finish. These fibers also give mulberry paper a fine wispy edge when it is torn and this makes a very attractive finish as Mulberry paper is handmade, no two pieces are ever quite the same. In Thailand these papers were traditionally layered and waxed to make paper umbrellas. This is an acid free tissue for use in paper conservation and for printmaking.
