We love paper with a story, and this has a great story. The sawdust from the Collective Spirit the name of the boat made by "The Boat Project" in May 2012, which was made with donated items from original parts from the Mary Rose and HMS Victory as well as everyday objects. I little piece of history, donations included guitars, a violin, a didgeridoo, a tennis racket, hockey sticks, a toy helicopter, a children’s train track and a Victorian police truncheon to name a few. Over 1200 donations were collected.

Including a little piece of the guitar that rock legend Jimi Henrix played in 1960. Each timber item was donated by a family or individual to represent their own personal story and has now been assembled to form the 30ft long hull of yacht

The sawdust was gathered and used to make this paper, which we think has to make this the most unique paper in the world.

The paper is 100% recycled and acid free, no bleach or acids are used during the making process, each piece will be unique.

A5 Sketch book, handprinted cover and back. 16 sheets of 150 gsm Khadi cotton paper. Using the finest cotton papers, artist Andrea Girling creates beautiful hand bound books. Each cover is painted by hand, using ink. Andrea is a Norfolk artist and is a proud supplier of PaperStory as well as National Trust properties. Using only the finest of materials, her work is beautiful.

Repetition is a reoccurring theme in her work. The act of repeating a process over and over is not only a way of gaining better understanding but also a way of slowing down. Andrea finds the practice meditative as she loses herself in cutting, folding, stitching and drawing.

The mark-making found on the covers is influenced by simple geometric patterns that are found in both nature and man-made structures. Unlike mass-produced books imperfections may be visible but she believes this adds to their uniqueness and shows the history of their making.

Natural mulberry tissue, pack of 50 sheets. Made in Chiangmai, Northern Thailand. The fibre is from the paper mulberry, ton saa. Also known by the Japanese name kozo. It is made from the mulberry tree and it has long fibers which help to give the paper its distinctive finish. These fibers also give mulberry paper a fine wispy edge when it is torn and this makes a very attractive finish as Mulberry paper is handmade, no two pieces are ever quite the same.

In Thailand these papers were traditionally layered and waxed to make paper umbrellas. This is an acid free tissue for use in paper conservation and for printmaking. Sheets will be rolled
