Pastelmat Nº 4 Clairefontaine artist Pastel pad 360 gsm. This pad contains 12 sheets of mixed colours of Pastelmat, plus glassine protectors between each sheet. The pad is divided up into 4 individual colours with 3 sheets of each of the colours shown.

This exceptionally soft paper has a robust grip that keeps colors from bleeding through when multi-layered. You won't need a fixative between layers - making it perfect for soft pastels, pastel pencils, and coloured pencils – the results are sure to be excellent

• Non-toxic Surface: Pastelmat^®'s non-toxic surface is created with natural cellulose particles. In comparison, sanded papers are adapted from materials designed for industrial use. The grit on the surface of sanded papers is produced by the application of aluminum oxide, a skin irritant with a questionable safety record.
• Holds up to water or solvent-based washes. This allows pastelists to create underpaintings with solutions of denatured alcohol or other solvents and to build layers on top
